Day 103

We hit a big milestone today...the steel structure is complete! Brock and Mark worked all day under soggy conditions to finish the gutters, downspouts, and trim work. In addition to rain and sleet, they had to contend with snow and ice melting off of the roof.

With the exterior work behind us now, we can finally return the bucket lift, which has not been doing us any favors financially by residing at our property. Here's Brock returning to terra firma after his final ride in the bucket:

More run-around from the door vendor. It's so infuriating that I won't bother you with the details, except to tell you that today Mark found a new vendor. Supposedly they can deliver the doors by Friday. Could it really be that easy? I have my doubts. Stay tuned...

  1. Yay for the steel being done! I'm a little sad you didn't let Little B do the honors on the final bucket ride, though.

  2. Oh, Kate, we were so over the lift by that point! Not as exciting as it was at the beginning. At least not to the grown-ups!
