Ok, so I realize this is a bit anti-climactic and maybe a little confusing, but today our construction loan was approved. Trust me, we were confused, too. As it turned out, the letter we received a month and a half ago congratulating us on our loan was not from the bank, but from the title company that was going to take care of our closing should we happen to be be approved by the bank. Really?! By the time I realized my mistake, I had already written the last post, and I couldn't bear to disappoint our one follower until I got official confirmation from the bank. Which is what we got today.
By the way, no longer optimistic about breaking ground in March. But I guess you figured that out already.
