Second time is the charm, it seems. The first bank denied our application after deeming our house design too modern, and claiming its value to be un-assessable. But bank number two came through for us, and today we received the letter congratulating us on our new loan.
Since the loan application process took longer than we'd anticipated (what else is new?), the idea of breaking ground in February is now an improbability. But we're optimistic about March...
