Big day! The plumbers were semi-productive, the HVAC guys were on site, we purchased a mini compound miter saw for cutting window trim pieces, and...get ready...the first pieces of siding went up today. It looks even cooler than I'd imagined.
I'll skip the pictures of the saw and the ducts and plumbing and get right to the good stuff:

Tomorrow Mark is going to work on the window trim on the left front side of the house, so we might have some more siding up by the end of the day.
The doors should be arriving soon, and the last window is scheduled to be here by mid-week, so hopefully we'll have some significant progress by Christmas.
